Men who have erectile dysfunction (ED) may benefit from the drug Levitra® (vardenafil HCl). This medication works by blocking the chemical process that causes blood to flow out of the penis. More blood flow in the penis leads to an improved erection. Levitra comes in tablet form and is taken as needed, usually one hour before sexual activity. However, you should not take it more than once a day, nor should you increase or decrease your dose without talking to your healthcare provider first.
